In these sewn "drawings", I impose my own gendered experiences on mythological creatures. I have had an extended fascination in particular with merfolk. They live in an otherworldly plane as sea creatures while still mimicking my own experiences.

Further, through humanizing sea-creatures I draw our human-centric ecological awareness to creatures some cultures consider so otherworldly, they regard them as vegetables.
